MCP Environmental provided asbestos management services for Castle Howard stately home and grounds to ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012.
MCP’s experienced P402 surveyors ensured a thorough management survey of the estate including: Stable Courtyard Building, Stable Yard Grounds, Greenhouse, Boathouse café and the Gardeners House.
Castle Howard, set in 1,000 acres of landscaped grounds attracts over 270,000 visitors annually.
The works were conducted out of season to ensure visitor and staff disruption was minimised.
Surveyors liaised with estates management to ensure priceless artefacts were relocated during the inspection process. Hop up and tower scaffolding was utilised to ensure delicate decorative items would be untouched by conventional surveying methods.
A comprehensive accessible survey report was produced in real time, through Alpha Tracker, to ensure the management team could plan annual maintenance cycles effectively and prioritise work schemes.
